Resilience as a Service (RaaS)

Our core offering, RPower’s turnkey Resilience as a Service (RaaS) gives you worry-free power security for a flat monthly fee. We assume responsibility for asset ownership, installation, maintenance, and remote monitoring and dispatch through the full term of the contract. You get the benefit of full site resiliency along with our microgrid maintenance and market optimization services that allow us to cut your monthly payments. This bundled service offering keeps you out of the energy and distributed generation business so you can focus on your core business.

Design, Build, Transfer

For our customers who prefer to own the microgrid equipment we also offer a design-build-transfer option. This option leverages our design, engineering, procurement, and construction capabilities to build your on-site microgrid system, transfer ownership of the completed and commissioned system, and then support and optimize that system with our remote monitoring, maintenance, and energy management services. Our project engineers and microgrid system integration experts personally oversee the project from start to finish before the handover. You receive the same full site resiliency benefit of our RaaS program but you deploy your own capital to maximize your return.

What is a Microgrid?

A microgrid is a small, localized version of your electric grid powered by on-site energy generation sources that you control. Microgrids can work in conjunction with the larger grid or disconnect from it to provide 100% of your business’ power demand in times of outages or high energy prices.

Microgrids differ from backup generator systems in that microgrids have the capability to parallel with at least one other generation source. Those other generation sources could be the local grid, or another on-site distributed energy resource (DER) like a clean, ultra low emissions natural gas generator, a solar array, or a battery energy storage system. In the event of a local grid outage, these microgrid resources can be integrated and optimized to provide power to your loads with zero service interruption.
